I love the fact that you sauteed all the base veggies first, I find that makes any soup or stew taste incredible!

Re: No time for a healthy tasty workday breakfast? First time I added about 15 extra minutes and the second time I allowed 15 minutes for potatoes alone and at least 25 minutes when the egg mixture was added to the centres.
Maybe it's my oven but I wondered about increasing heat to 375F possibly.

Re: Healthy Slow Cooker Sweet and Sour Pork

Those sound like great modifications! Another of our favorite leftover soups is this turkey and wild rice soup: http://www.thetasteplace.co...

Re: Paula Deen’s Pecan Praline Baked French Toast

I cut the butter in half and it was perfect. Also, like others have said, don't overlap the bread. My husband raved about it and he is usually not a fan of sweet and sour. I added 1/4 tsp cayenne and 1 tsp ginger, used 1/3 cup rice vinegar, a little more brown sugar, 1/2 cup unsweetened apple juice (used fresh pineapple so had no juice) and deglazed the pan after browning the pork with about 2/3 cup chicken stock and added that to the pot. Flavor was fresh and truly sweet and sour, the pork melted in your mouth. Thanks for a keeper!

Re: Pasta with Shrimp and Herbed Tomato Cream Sauce

Ok

Re: Primo Prime Rib Soup

Im just making a pot now, but using wild rice instead, living 400 miles west of anchorage we don't waste the bones, they are the best part and taste good in soups thanks for the recipe

Re: Primo Prime Rib Soup

Just made this, following the recipe without any changes and using the red pepper flakes, and it is delicious! The pictures of the prep helped me get each step right. I made this dish and the flavors were very good except I didn't find it hot enough for my liking. I added 2 Tbsp. of red chili powder and that did the trick. Also, I had fresh yellow turmeric available so I used that instead of turmeric powder. I'm lucky to have an Indian market less than a mile from my house that is well stocked.

Re: Healthy Kung Pao Chicken

Looks delicious and healthy!

Re: Easy Sides: Gina’s skinny garlic mashed potatoes

The herb part was from the original recipe by Gina--we've not ever actually added the herbs. I want to apologize to both Colleen and her reviewers for an unfair and biased review of this recipe. I actually love reading about "variations" of well-known and much -loved recipes, and my lack of respect for this one was unfair and unfounded. I was wrong about the olive oil, as it was in fact, olive oil spray. The anonymity of the Internet makes it easy to criticize others, and I don't want to be another one of those jackasses. I've learned not to respond with such flippant attitude. My apologies.
